In addition to working on projects
that stimulated the sales of major companies,
my background includes direct sales and sales
management with Transamerica Life, MCI Worldcom,
Sears Business Centers and Add-Effect Associates,
Inc.
- I understand what it means
to own the responsibility for one or
more products in all its phases. I understand
how to interacts with sales, engineering, and
operations as necessary to determine what the
product should look like, how the product should
be positioned, and how the product should be
effectively and smoothly rolled out to the market.
- I understand how to champion
a product or service both within the organization
and outside the organization and company, and
the importance of being viewed as a single point
of accurate, credible information on the product.
- I enjoy the visibility of this
position and expect to interact with with significant
executive level interaction, both formally and
informally.
- I recently completed a project
for Project Positive where I defined and coordination
the"whole" product. This includes
the definition of the product features, in addition
to the evaluation platform, literature, software,
partnerships, etc.
- I expect to work field sales
personnel on current and new opportunities.
This includes keeping in close contract with
the appropriate sales and field marketing groups
and individuals, making customer presentations
when requested, and tracking the progress of
opportunities. A close relationship with the
field is key to success.
- I am enthusiastic about launching
new products into the marketplace. This includes
working with Marketing Communications to articulate
our messages, working with the press, providing
training to the field, etc.
- I will make it my business
to understand competitive products through directed
research, teardowns, firsthand analysis, etc.
- I will position our own products
against the competition. This includes the positioning
itself, in addition to the appropriate sales
and marketing collateral to allow others to
articulate our message without being experts
in the field.
- I will coordinate, create,
and distribute marketing and sales collateral
for the tools as they pertain to our products.
This includes data sheets, reprints, CD-ROMs,
demonstrations, etc. (An example is, of course,
this CD and its the web site version.)
- If called upon, I will aggressive
Identify, pursue, and maintain key relationships
with targeted strategic partners.
- I will identify and articulate
market trends.

solutions to the field and to customers.

the product at trade shows, conferences, industry
